CAMPAIGN SUB – HEADLINE

The three Tigray Region clubs (Mekele 70 Enderta, Wolwalo Adigrat University, and Suhul Shire), which played an important role in providing talented and competent football players for the Ethiopian National Team, and which served as a symbolic representation to revitalize and stimulate the Ethiopian Premier League competitions are in the verge of dissolution. So, let us save the clubs from closure and rehabilitate them for the future!!

OBJECTIVE OF THE CAMPAIGN

  • Its primary objective of the campaign is to revive the three Tigray Region football clubs that competed in the Ethiopian PremierLeague (Mekele 70 Enderta, Welwalo Adigrat University, and Suhul Shire). The teams were completed vanished in the past war. Therefore, the event has been organized to rehabilitate the three football clubs and to save them from cessation.
  • To revitalize the stagnant spirit of Tigray Region sport and
  • Assist the people of Tigray in recovering well from the psychological crisis caused by the war.

CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL GOAL

The main goal of the event is to generate 500 million birr from all Ethiopians living inside and outside thecountry, Especially Tegaru Diaspora’s, from the business community, from governmental and non -governmental institutions, Embassies and International organizations and other stakeholders.

KEY ACTIVITIES OF THE FUND RAISE CAMPAIGN

  • The fundraising campaign will be launched at Friendship Park. His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Abiye Ahmed, Tigray Region Interim Government President Mr. Getachew Reda, High Government Ministers and Officials, Investors, Football League Federation Officials, Regional and
    City Administration Heads, Ambassadors, and other well-known celebrities will be in attendance. The EBC will give live transmission of the opening ceremony.
  • A mini documentary film depicting the pre- and post-war sport and football scenario In Tigray will beshown to Guest of Honors.
  • A Go Fund Me Bank account will be established to kick off the fundraising campaign. It will be signedby the three club managers and officials from Ey Production.
  • A digital media promotion platform will be set up on YouTube, and all GoFundMe promotion spots andbundles will be displayed on the page.
  • In accordance with the mutual media partnership agreement reached between EBC and E y Production plc, EBC will promote the campaign in each prime time advertisement segment. To put intopractice the major concepts of FIFA FAIR PLAY, EBC has a corporate social responsibility to support the campaign in all aspects in order to increase service accessibility and develop fraternity, love, and peace among Ethiopians living in the north.
  • A panel discussion will be place prior to the closing ceremony in Mekele to demonstrate how sport(football) has helped to the end of wars, increased peace, and stability throughout the world.
  • Closing Program will be organized in Mekele Planet Hotel, regional government Heads, higher officials,sport federation heads, distinguished guests, club managers, and celebrities will be invited in the program.
